Im having a problem with my projector MX II, im randomly getting an error "IMB - no communication".

It comes for a while and it automatically goes away after sometime without doing anything, and sometimes there's a light green shade on the screen and that also goes away automatically after sometime.

We had already replaced Cinema Controller Board, IMB Board, ICP Board and Fan controller too, but the problem persists.

Kindly can you advice should we replace the Back Plane?

Your immediate response will be highly appreciated.

That is not the IMB version but it tells me what you are using.

Time to upgrade your software.

After a series of similar problems that were apparently caused from the auditorium network switch I've been connecting the server directly to the projector and then the projector on to the switch: since IMB systems usually have the server in the projector pedestal that's not a huge hassle. The Barco internal switch hasn't failed me yet. Wired this way, if your external switch fails you lose automation (if you have network automation) but not the show. Using non-managed enterprise grade switches is nice but they cost a pile and the extra 12-20 ports is pointless - but I've seen problems with many 5 or 8 port inexpensive (name brand) switches.
2.6.4 is the current Doremi server software. The IMB software shows up as "firmware" and "SM" in diagnostic tool.
Projector software v10 is rather old but shouldn't affect the server/IMB communication. Every upgrade includes something for the internal router but I don't know what they change in it.
When IMB comms errors get pesty up I reseat the IMB, ICP, CCB, network and PCIe cables, plus reseat the PCIe card in the server chassis if there's time.

One of the latest software (I believe it was one of the unreleased 1.12) does indeed improve the way the projector recovers from an imb communication error.
I would definitely recommend moving to 1.12 at least.

I'd consider any software below 1.12 to be in need of changing on a Barco and thus Kinoton. 1.13.190 is current and quite stable for us. There have been numerous communication improvements since 1.10.
