Has anyone tried this new CRU eSATA dock with the GDC SX-3000 and the Doremi IMS yet? Seems like an inexpensive way to add eSATA. I still have customers ingesting by USB!

Just so you all know the Move Dock 3S does NOT work on the SX-3000 at this time. CRU and GDC are working this out. The RTX does work but is much more expensive.

No, I don't have access to the version 2. But CRU is working on this with GDC to try to resolve it. There are still alternatives that do work, they just cost more. The odd thing is the drive shows so in the bios but the move dock does not stay powered up long enough for it to be detected as a working eSATA bay, this is one time when being green and spinning the drive down doesn't help.

I think we actually just got one of these at my theater. It's really handy since we just switched to a Barco Alchemy server in one house (hooray for no LMS support). It doesn't have any (e)SATA ingest options, but it does have USB3. I noticed that on the dock, but it only came with a USB 2.0 cable. Anyone tried the USB3 functionality yet?

On the Barco Alchemy the USB3 works great with this adapter.

For the record; the SATA/USB2 MoveDock works great with the eSATA on the GDC SX-3000, ingest speed is on par with a traditional CRU Bay in a 'regular' server (and allows LivePlay to function); hardest part for me has been finding good supply of SATA-to-eSATA cables, it's not a common cable here in NZ so only one or two computer shops carry them.

I have had a couple of SX-3000 units that the bios settings have needed correcting for AHCI/IDE settings, but so far that's been only 2 units and once it's been corrected they've been fine (to date, it's only been a month or so since I went through the process)...
