Author Topic: DCP-o-matic - encrypted DCPs on GDC servers? Carsten Kurz Film God Posts: 4340 From: Cologne, NRW, Germany Registered: Aug 2009 posted 04-25-2016 08:45 AM                     There has been one report about an encrypted Interop-DCP created by DCP-o-matic not working on a GDC server. Does anyone create encrypted Interop DCPs for GDCs with DCP-o-matic and can confirm there is a problem? Is anyone willing to test this? We would need his server/media block certificate to create a small encrypted SMPTE and Interop Test-DCP. - Carsten  |  IP: Logged Jim Cassedy Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1661 From: San Francisco, CA Registered: Dec 2006 posted 04-25-2016 10:13 AM                     I've created at least half-a-dozen encrypted DCP's which played back fine on a couple of GDC SX-2000's. >Disclaimer: This was over a year ago. I don't know if there have been any GDC software patches or upagrades which might have affected the ability to recognize 'home-made" KDM's. < Also, late last year, I did have an incident where the GDC TMS would not recognize the self-generated KDM on a short program given to me by a local film-maker. But if I ingested the KDM directly into the GDC serverthingy, instead of through the TMS, it worked fine.
