Before I pull this monster out of a very tight location, how does the large air filter come out? I changed the 2 smaller ones already without having to take the projector out from where it is. Do I have to take off the front cover?

No. But you have to remove the side panel (the one over the button module & card cage). Then slide the filter out like the small ones.

You'll need at least a foot of clearance to pull the big filter out. When you put it back in make sure it goes all the way in; the frame tends to hang up about 1/2" from fully seating.
