I've opened an existing playlist generated by our LMS on our GDC server, and manually added two light cues (Credit and Feature automation cues to be exact) to trigger halfway through the feature.

Upon trying to save this playlist, it's quoting the following:
'There are conflicts in schedules using this playlist. Please review your schedules'.

I'm confused, as I'm not adding any content that's risking the playlist in question overlapping with the next...can someone help me? I just want to add this bloody intermission but it's proving a nightmare!

Plus, it's usually not a DCP practice to break up a show to have an intermission due to contract agreements. Thus, best check into this prior to the above procedure.

You need to adjust your schedule times better since you are creating an overlap of scheduling - why the error messages.

Thus, if your SPL starts at 1:00, ends at 2:50 and begins again at 3:10 .. then you do the addition of cues for intermission, the SPL time is going over the 3:10 mark for the next scheduled time.

Delete all of those scheduled showtimes and redo with longer periods of downtime...so you don't get this collision.

This is an old thread, but I'm having a related GDC problem.

I get the same message, "There are conflicts in schedules using this playlist", when adding a single 2:15 trailer to the program, even though there is plenty of space, around 14 minutes, between shows.

Why would this happen? Would it have anything to do with the Interop to SMPTE switch? A thing or two went a bit hinky after we did the upgrade, change doesn't bother me but this time it's personal... Assuming that's wrong, what to do?

I have never had that happen AFTER an upgrade is done. I would suggest a call or email to GDC Tech Support on that.
