In my cinema I have 4 Christie CP2210 (each one connect with a dolby/dss which include 3 hdd) and a Christie Solaria one (connect with a Iomega PX4-300r also include 3 hdds)
So totally now I am using 15 hitachi ultrastar HDD (7200 rpm, sataIII 3gb/s).
The question is it necessary to use 3 HDDS for each NAS (because as I see 2HDDs are also OK)?
And Can I use another type of HDD to save money such as Seagate Barracuda?

Many thanks for your helps

You need three HDs, and there is a list of tested drives available from Dolby.

A slightly outdated version is in the film-tech warehouse file repository:

The latest list, however is from january 2018

In general, on the Dolby DSS, you should be able to use any NAS capable drive, e.g. WD RED.
