There is a process to rebuilding the raid through a web browser. Your SONY tech should be able to do this there is a small app for rebuild.
If not I will get you the instructions and app.

My understanding is that you need to source the drives through Sony - normal drives won't work. You also need to run the RAID-creation script as advised.

There is a simple Sony marker on these discs, easy to create with a disc editor, then similar 500GB discs will work. Without that capability, you have to order discs from Sony.

However, without knowing what happened to the RAID, hard to say wether a rebuild is sufficient or not. Many people do not seem to care for the RAID, until after three failed drives, it pulls the plug...

Thanks Carsten, very interesting. Never played with those discs, I was just told that it had been tried and it didn't work.

Has anyone found a way to get larger discs in the R320 raid yet?
