The Doremi IMB/IMS can only 'decode' LPCM without any surround encoding. Some sources will only deliver stereo in that mode, while some can output discrete multichannel LPCM (up to 8ch, that is, up to 7.1). If your playback device is pushing AC3, DTS or any of the other fancy proprietary sound formats out there, it's not going to work. Often, it's easier to route the audio directly to your audio processor, bypassing the IMS entirely. Depending on what gear you have on either side, there are often multiple solutions for this.  |  IP: Logged
