Purchased from Carbons, Inc. (Xetron Corp now Numade Corp) in 1973, this is a one of a kind film transport! We were a test site as the manufacturer in Europe wanted to compete with platters and needed someone to evaluate their unit. It is an endless film transport, holding over 4 hours of 35 MM film; the beginning and end are spliced together and the unit is, in essence, always rewinding as the film is moving through the projection head. I have added many mods to improve the performance of the unit and I have the original schematic. It sits upright, unlike a platter; looking more like a film transport tower. It is very kind to film; in fact we ran TITANIC in 1997-98 for 21 weeks on this unit with our Cinemeccanica V8 projection head and the print looked like new when we shipped it back to the depot!
Our cost in 1973 was $11,000. (at the time much more than a platter); asking $3,000. plus freight. We are located in Southeast VA; it would be to a buyer's advantage to pick it up at my theatre so I can show you how to operate the unit. Contact me at: 757-544-1379 or fred@commodoretheatre.com

If anyone buys this or is setup for a demo, PLEASE contact me or Scott Norwood to setup a video of this thing in action. I'm sure there were more than one of these manufactured, but this is the only one I am aware of.
