According to the BBFC the UK version is about 10-15 mins longer.

So the burning question, If i run a UK print where do i put my interval (tower projection).

Note: you are going to get varying running times on this one....Supposedly there is a Directors cut and then there will be the standard theatrical cut....The directors cut from what I have heard thru the grapevine is intended for special screenings and DVD only....

I was told by theatre management that the runtime for our screening was 2:45. Since none of them actually watched the film, they probably called the 'home office'. But come Dec. 19th with at least 15 minutes of trailers...

I may be just being picky here but there is a reason for the false name. I really don't think it's such a good idea to actually post the false name.

Just my two cents...

Normally I would be with you John, but at least over here in the US the cans have both the fake name AND the real name on the cans. So I ask, what's the point in THAT???

In my country the cans has the real name and the fake name is in the film, I don't understand the reason for all that security if i already saw a copy in VHS tape.
I'm realy sorry about type the fake name here but everyone of us know that name and i was too confused at the moment of make up the movie.
Last Saturday we showed "The Lord of Rings" and we got 7 of 9 reels friday night and the last 2 reels we got it on saturday morning.

For those interested with Tower projection like myself, I have found out from the UK distributor that the Intermission is to be at the end of reel 3. Precise time was unable to be given, also an Intermission title will not be supplied.

The print we received has the cans marked with the real title and reels marked with the fake title. Also the tech sheet has 178 listed as the running time and there is an attached trailer.
