Anyone have an accurate running time on Brotherhood. Heard many conflicting numbers.

Thanks in advance.

142m 30s

and re-edited version whatever that is 139m 18s

Print info

Universal
Technicolor Depot
9 Reels
Scope
A/SR/SRD/DTS
Not sure which printing lab.

No changeover cues.
Both prints had Rating and Universal Studios advertisement chemically spliced onto end credits.
On one of them, it was backwards.

Our had a FLAT rating card and Universal Studios ad at the end. The tail looks weird also. Don't want to have the sound open as the tail runs through.

BOOTH ALERTS:
  • There are no cue marks AFAIK. This is critical because there is a fadeout/smash cut in at the R7 > R8 join.

  • The Universal logo is silent. Audio starts in the second (StudioCanal) logo.

Charles, correct on both points on the print I saw. I noted the lack of cues in my "review". And there was no audio on the Universal logo. Was supposedly playing in DTS.

Ran in over the weekend in our large curved screen. Had to keep the frame very tight. On dark scenes a very noticeable white flickering shadow would be visable at the top of the screen. Also the words would be visable right at the edge at the bottom of the screen. Bring the framer up a smidge and the frame lines would appear at the bottom edges of the screen. Had the same problem when we ran Apocalypse Now - ReDux Dye Transfer Print. No problems with other release prints.

Was "Brotherhood of the Wolf" processed in a digital intermediate method? Certain scenes had very strange (and bad) color posterization, and some of that "grain" looked more like blocky digital noise. Not a very good example at all of Super35 photography.
