"E.T. The Extra Terrestrial" (re-issue)
Universal
1.85*/MUL (all 3 digitals + SR analog)
6 reels
TES
Printed-on trailer: "Spirit" (2.39 letterboxed within 1.85)
Loose trailers: none with my print

* Hard masked to about 1.66. I talked to Universal about Spielberg's supposed preference for 1.66 on this picture but they were unable to confirm this with Amblin.

Why I remember this I don't know but the original print release had some reels matted at 1.85 and others at 1.66. I would say that there is stuff that you wouldn't want projected on the screen in those areas at the top and bottom of the frames. I always found it odd when they did this.

You can see the ratios punching in and out on the laserdisc too so it looks like it's always been there.

Booked thru Universal.
6 Reels
Flat (1.85-1)
Dolby SR-D

The print I got had been built up, even though the cases specified NOT to. No print number, but it was struck in June 2013 from a 2K intermediate (print marked answer print.) The original version, not the "walkie-talkie" re-issue.
