I'm particularly looking for the aspect ratio. One site lists it as 1.85, another at 1.66 and the NL distributer at 1.37.
Thanks!

At Sundance we ran it at 1.66:1. This left a border around the 1.37:1 image on all four sides.

Showing this at 1.85:1 would slightly crop the top and bottom of the image.

Thanks Jeffry, Are you saying then that it's a 1.37 image optically printed to be projected at 1.85? (Which would have the vertical 'black bars' on the sides?)

If so I may do what you did at Sundance (run it in 1.66) to get more light out of it, but then it will all depend on how things look with our set-up.

-I hate when distributers do that - this film is only going to play in art houses and most art houses have 1.37 lenses so why not just leave it like that? (And if it is the 'cross-over hit of the decade' then make some reduction prints for the mass market.)

The image height was probably 16:9 (1.78:1). 1.85:1 crops too much. 1.66:1 shows some black above and below image.

To clarify, it is a 1.37:1 image within the height of a 16:9 image. There are black "pillarbox" borders left and right.
