I believe Sony has distribution on this title now (Columbia bought Avco/Embassy in the late 80's).

Actually, the film is owned by Canal+; current US theatrical rights are owned by Strand Releasing. They made four prints of this title for the 30th anniversary reissue. One was apparently trashed early on. Two of the original four prints were made off the original camera negs and the other two were dupes. Might be worth checking with Strand.

print #4 was pretty trashed when I ran it five years ago; the last reel had torn perfs every few feet (bent takeup reel?).

most changeovers are pretty tight, especially R5->R6 (dialogue runs up to the end of R5)

last reel is half-length

Hi
Does anyone know if there's a print of The Graduate in the UK and what condition it may be in?
Thanks

Rightsholder: Canal Plus (Canal +)
US distributor: Stuart Lisell
Depot: Academy Film & Storage
Conventional silver-applicated soundtrack

Strand no longer has any U.S. rights to the title, they are all through Stuart Lisell (who also has other Canal Plus titles).
