caddyshack, 1980

orion pictures, distributed by warner's classics

-reels: 6
-running time: 1:38
-ratio: 1.85 (no hard matte)
-sound: mono
-valenti rating: r

-print #: 20011 (does this mean it's a 2001 print?)
-base: correction, estar (i thought it was triacetate)
-stock: kodak vision 2383
-color: no fade
-splices: 2 in r1, 1 each in r3,4,6. 2 or so of these were right near the start of a reel. in one case a fade in was cropped short. up to a dozen frames missing on some tails. probably the same on the heads. otherwise no jumps.
-lines: minor, not too distracting.
-other damage: towards end of r1, some creasing down the middle of the film, briefly affecting focus. also, some gnarled edge sections, (re-) repaired with perfix (previous attempt at repair involving four sections of several-inch long extremely goopy clear tape very time-consuming to clean off).
-cues: scribed, not accurate due to short ends.

-on screen: overall, looked quite good. aside from brief focus problem in r1, no distractions. pretty clean, except at reel changes.
