**MODERATORS: My questions are related to the title's print specs, so I do not think this qualifies as chat.**

Aaron,

Curious when you last handled a print of this title? Have newly-struck prints with Dolby been circulating? I ask because I'm under the impression that the original prints were mono.

A few things to explain my questioning....

- No Dolby Stereo notation in the film's credits.

- No Dolby Stereo credit on the film's one-sheets and newspaper ads.

- title not included n Dolby Labs' master "Films in Dolby Stereo" list.

- Video versions (VHS, Beta, LD, first DVD, etc.) have been mono up until the recently released DVD version.

I checked some lists that I compiled in the mid 1980's. I initially noted (up to 1986 June) that The Breakfast Club was announced as a Dolby title but was released non-Dolby.

On my 1986 July list I have noted that The Breakfast Club was released in Dolby in Japan.

Unfortunately at the time I was not citing references to the data I collected, so I cannot provide the source of these claims. I'd guess this came from Variety.
