a clockwork orange
- reels: 8
- running time: 2:16
- picture format: flat 1:1.66
- sound format: mono
according to the imdb (yeah, yeah, yeah) there are srd prints, but our print was mono. print #20001 on polyester stock is about what might expect condition-wise. reel ends are rather cinched and dirty, with a few frames missing (some dialog elision at the head of reel 4). the rest is pretty much ok. some scratching here and there. a few splices and repairs, only one of them causing a minor jump in the action.
we played it 1:1.75 (the best we can do on the main screen). reel 7 showed evidence of framing adjustments in the printing (to accomodate for 1.85, presumably, while fouling it up for 1.66), with the matte appearing and disappearing at the top of the frame. i've seen a print (same one?) shown 1.66 where this would happen at both the top and bottom of the frame, and with greater frequency, so that's something to watch out for.
