DTS-ES logo on the CDs? Auto-EX? Dolby Digital Surround EX and DTS-ES logos in the credits? Other indicators that the film has been mixed in Extended-Surround?

Sorry, forgot one other question: SDDS-8 since this is Sony release and has been mixed by Greg P. Russell and Kevin O'Connell?

SDDS-8 according to sdds.com. So I really doubt that this film is in SRD-EX and DTS-ES or can anybody else confirm Extended-Surround?

We're being told the depot isn't releasing prints until 12:01 on Thursday morning. We've got a 10am screening on Thursday, so I'll be able to confirm if the film is EX at that time.

All reels very full, Reel 3 the fullest. Of all 4 prints (28 reels) I built, 2 reels were not labeled (head/tail), so be careful.

Also Enclosed:
Run Fat Boy Run
Balls of Fury
Rescue Dawn
Shrek 3
Fantastic 4 2
Pirates 3
Gracie
Harry Potter 5
Bourne Ultimatum
Across the Universe
Rush Hour 3

We are running 6 prints. Of these, 1 entire print has 'water streaking' down the right side of the screen - visible mostly during the bright scenes. 1 reel of a 2nd print has 'water streaking' and a 3rd print has a section of blank film base nearly 3 feet long in the middle of the reel.

I've checked with another local house that has 3 prints, and two of their prints have the 'water streaking' problem.

Clearly these prints were run off too fast and not properly processed. I guess that is what you get for having upwards of 7000 prints.

Also, Spider-man 3 is widest release of all time--4,252 theatres. Beat out Shrek 2 by around 30 theatres.

I can confirm problems with prints.

The print I built up ended up having massive discoloration for approx 10 secs at the end of one reel when another supervisor watched it. And we obviously didn't get a replacement in time for the midnight shows.

I have a feeling that their initial theater count was lower than what it is now. Also, they probably requested even more prints for theaters who have multiple screens. A theater on Oahu has 5 prints.

I did note however that both of my prints were dated April 15. So I assume that if your copy has water streaking it may have been one of the more recent ones. They probably did rush to print additional reels.

All 3 of our prints had minor to major problems (one had a reel with MAJOR color issues at its tail, another had an emulsion scratch & other stuff that seemed to indicate it had been viewed already but was new, and another had slight color streaking).

Another nearby theater in my chain had 6 prints, each of which had some problem.
