The changeover cues on our print were scribed to NOT show these cards, so operator delay is necessary if you want to show these cards.

Because mid-reel there are cards that say "End of part x"

so if you don't want the audience wondering "what happened to part y" then you have to show all of the cards.

using the scribed cues (on that print) would result in a scenario where you're showing some, but not all.

Those are 1000' heads and footers and should have been spliced out of the print (of course, because it's an archival print, an archive would never do that). They would not have been shown in the '20s.
