FLAT 1.85:1
3D: 116GB

FIRST CO - 02:13:02 (Essentially opening credits at the end. At the end of these there is a teaser for no doubt whatever they want to make next)

STUDIO CO - 02:15:49 (The beginning of the rolling credits. This is a better place to go 'lights up')

FRT - 02:22:12

------------

35MM

FLAT 1.85:1

SR/SRD/DTS/SDDS

8 REELS

Also a cookie/teaser at the very end if you have not heard by now. So two cookies.

According to IMDB the film is in 1.78:1, or 16:9. What's the deal with that? Anyone know who made the call to already have it ready for HDtvs?

The deal is that IMDb is unreliable. Trust Film-Tech, not IMDb. [Wink]

The "cookie" at the end is actually a punch line, not a teaser. But it's cool.

1.78 and 1.85:1 are close enough that the difference is negligible. Digitally shot movies (like this one) sometimes are native 1.78 and just cropped slightly to 1.85 for theatrical projection, while 1.85 movies have been opened up to 1.78 on DVDs since the format was introduced.

Check this out: 1.33x1.33=1.77, 1.77x1.33=2.35

(Further discussion of this should probably be moved to Yack, there may even be a thread somewhere that could be zombied.)
