What can be said about this film that can accurately describe to another person just how incredibly awful this film really is?

After an impressive move of the masking to cinemascope and a lovely Universal (Universal!) title, it pretty much heads straight into the toilet and never plunges its way out again.

The guys from the Young Ones are back and still trying to peddle out the same old humour which was indeed humourous in 1986. Someone has forgotten to tell them 14 years have passed (Crocodile Dundee...please take note of this) since then.

It has its moments in the first half hour but decends to the bowels of the sewer from then on. I can't even bring myself to bother describing the film further...I will now try and block it from my memory.

I will say this though...avoid this one like the plague and if you are thinking "Hey, I LIKED The Young Ones" then do yourself a favor...get in the car, drive to the video store, rent some episodes and have a decent laugh because if you decide to take a right turn at the video store and go to the cinema to see Guest House Paradiso looking for a laugh or even a one quarter decent 87 minutes of your life spent watching this, you are going to be very sorry indeed.

Universal...'The Sting', 'ET', 'Out Of Africa', 'Babe', ...'Guest House Paradiso'.

Oh dear...
