Author Topic: RONIN Kevin Stratton Film Handler Posts: 5 From: Wellington, Somerset, England Registered: Dec 2000 posted 01-08-2001 04:57 PM                     It isn't often that I let a damned decent film slip me by but in 1998 it appears this one did. Aside from Bob De Niro and the charasmatic Jean Reno, John Frankenheimer has crafted a masterpiece, manipulating HEAT with LEON and thank you for using France. Films such as this lend themselves to the continental scenary so well. Having just scene in on DVD I am still in shock. The action and stunt sequences are superb beyond belief. And again thanks be to DVD as watching the film with the directoprs commentary can only again add to my enjoyment as a voyer! What did everyone else think of this film, am I alone in thinking how fantastic it is??? Is this just my mad British eccentricity??? Great action!
