A bigger budget French film by Caro & Jeunet, this film is a cinematic masterpiece but stylistically consistent with their earlier film, Delicatessan.

The film creates a surreal, dark world where children are kidnapped by a mad scientist who milks them of their dreams.

If at all possible, see this film on the big screen. It is outstanding in terms of the way it has been shot. There are a freak show of characters in an amazing setting. It is a visual smorgasbord.

A masterpiece of cinematic excellence.

5 stars out of 5 (yes that's a big statement but this film earns the stars)
