I read where Julia Roberts tried to watch the original "Ocean's Eleven" and fell asleep twice. I thought the latest one was well done and met my expectations. *** (Three stars)

I liked it a lot. It is what it is - a bunch of "cool" actors playing likeable bad guys in a Vegas heist story. Smart dialog. Story is full of holes but so what. I enjoyed it. Julia Roberts' talents might be a little wasted in her role but I didn't care. The movie is a lot of fun.

I defy anyone to get through the first hour of the original and not fall asleep.

I really like the new one though. Very good.

Attendance: Coburg Drive-in Theatre Sat 26 January 2001 Theatre 1. Skilltester results: 1 Minnie Mouse Doll.

A stylish movie that is is considerably better made than the original. The script works well and you continually wonder throughout the film - how are these guys going to make this heist work? The plot is inventive and really well thought out. A strong cast helps make the film work.

Quite entertaining.

Verdict: 7 stars out of 10.

cheers Peter

Ive watched the original several times and have never fell asleep. I like it alot, but can see where everyone is coming from, thinking it is boring or whatever, as it is pretty slow I guess, but still entertaining nonetheless.
