Attendance: Palace Como Cinema South Yarra Saturday 18th March 2002. Presentation: Superb unfurtunately marred by the fact that the only seats available were in the front row

This French farce examines the issue of families living together. The Director of 'Tatie Danielle' visits similar territory again to that covered in that film in his portrayal of a mother and father absolutely fed up with their 28 year old son who can't quite get the hint that his parents want some time for themselves.

As in Tatie Danielle there is a strong element of sadism through out the film but its done for laughs. The film finishes on something of an anti-climax but it does at least show the point of the film.

I found this film hilariously funny and very accessible to a western audience. It would not surprise me if the Americans do an english language remake of this film.

Verdict: 8 stars out of ten

cheers Peter
