A new australian film, directed by ivan sen. A thoughtful look at two (individual) young teenagers stuck in their surrounding culture, angry and saddened by what they see around them. Each for diffrent reasons, decides to set off on the road, they meet up and find a sort of comfort or understanding of each others journey. The thing that gives the film it's potency is that the main characters are aboriginal, but the director doesn't ram that fact down your throat, which enables you to identify with the story. This is a first film effort from the director, actors and the main contributers (editor's etc...). The film is beautifully shot, a patron came out after and said he couldn't believe how good it looked (it's very sharp!) . i hope that this film get's a release overseas, it definitly deserves to be seen by a wider audience!. if you want an action film , stay away! ,this film is slow in places, which i feel gives you more time to reflect on the more subtle aspect's of the story.
