I always enjoyed his tv show so i went to see his debut on the big screen, unfortunatly it wasn't very funny or well made. I made sure that i went in with little expectation as i had heard that it was just OK, so i did enjoy the experience and found it mildly funny , but i would only reccomend this if you have too much time on your hands and you can get in for free!.
I saw this at Hoyt's millennium and noticed that they had cut off the opening joke ,the one with ALIG talking over the british rating?.

I was in England in March when this film was opening. I couldn't believe the hype! I had never heard of Ali G. so I didn't know what was going on. There has been zero mention of this film in the US so I suspect that it will not open here.
