There isn't a single action in this film which has any sort of motivation whatsoever. Despite this, it's still manages to be nearly enjoyable for a good amount of time. But the last twenty minutes are too incredibly stupid to be forgiven. I have never seen an ending so bad. My co-worker thinks that the ending is tremendously ballsy because it's so blatantly obviously bad that there's no way that it couldn't have been intentionally bad. I don't think that makes a lot of sense, and yet it still makes more sense than this picture's ending.

Because this Madonna "masterpiece" tanked in the US, our UK Film-Techers will not have to handle it in a booth.

Sony has cancelled the UK theatrical release and will take Swept Away direct-to-video next summer.
