What is it with Disney anymore? Must they put profanity in ALL their films? I must have been on a roll tonight... first this, then Bad Santa. Watch them and you'll see why it's no wonder I'm in a foul mood. 4 more hours of my life wasted on [bs] that *could* have been decent.

Eddie Murphy should throw in the towel. All the funny faces and close ups of him with his huge mouth get old, and fast.

While this wasn't quite as bad as Cat in the Hat, it was sure close. And I still can't imagine why they feel the need to throw in the occasional "hell & damn" in the film... [Confused]

This is more of a TV movie, IMO. YMMV.

Anyone find the conversation between Eddie Murphy and his son a bit perverted in reel 1? I mean really, how could you miss it??? They could have easily changed the wording up to be completely innocent...but noooooooo, Disney just HAD to turn it into something perverted. (Oddly enough, this was the funniest part of the movie.)

I don't think I hated this movie as much as Jason did, but I do agree this one isn't all that great. At least I wasn't looking around the empty auditorium for a suicide weapon unlike most other films this year.

What's with all these movies based on amusement park rides? Country Bears, Pirates, Haunted Mansion.... What's next?

Their first mistake was Eddie Murphy and I am sure he had a hand in the script.
Maybe they should have gotten Orlando Jones instead.

Terence Stamp as the butler was the highlight of this, although he was reminiscent of Alec Guinness in "Murder By Death". At least the print looked good.

I love checking on this film as I run it, I time it so I can see the BEAUTIFUL Sara, and the Singing Busts. I truly think that was the funniest part of this movie.

Attendance: 2004/01/13 19:05, Regal Madison Square 12, Huntsville, AL, Auditorium 9

This had funny moments, but I don't feel it's a movie that many people will think much about later, since there's really nothing really memorable about it. It was a pretty cheesy movie and I wasn't too impressed with it.
