I was watching the origonal 1933 film on Turner Classic Movies today. They made an announcement that another remake is currently in the works, due to be released in 2005.

I can imagine Phil Hill as "Kong", Bob Maar as the promotor, Rachel G. in the Faye Wray role....and Cinematography by
John Pytlak...codirected by Brad and Joe!
