Today, Regal Cinema World 8 in Eugene. Nothing wrong with the presentation, print looked brand new. Attendance around 40. This documentary seems to be transferred straight from 1.33 video. The one-on-one sitdown interviews looked mostly good, but anything in motion (like the ever-present text crawl at the bottom of Fox News video) has severe "judder".

Even those who enjoy watching Fox "News" (people like myself) will not be able to deny the validity of this documentary-style exposé. "Outfoxed" doesn't pretend to be fair and balanced, unlike Fox "News", and they skewer Rupert Murdoch and his network royally. Bill O'Reilly comes off looking especially bad.

Skillfully done, and obviously on a shoestring budget. I loved it even if I have conservative leanings myself. I don't see how anyone on either the left or the right who purports to be open-minded could deny that Fox "News" is really a cheerleader for the Republican powerbase and a mouthpiece for Rupert Murdoch after watching this.

I guess Regal decided to try this since they missed out on Fahrenheit/911 in this market. Kind of surprising but also refreshing. I hope it gets some word-of-mouth going and sticks around for a while.

Outfoxed [thumbsup]
