This is exactly what the trailer makes it look like. Nothing special, completely predictable in every aspect, but it's not horrible either. It's just a time killer.

Be sure to pay attention to the terrible dubbing and fake instrument playing. This is probably the worst example I've ever seen.

2.5 out of 5

way too cliche, and yes, they could have got better musicians (ahem, actors) to be in this movie.....School of Rock anyone?

Nails on a chalkboard: 75% annoyance level
Hillary Duffs voice and acting: 143% annoyance level

Was anyone else thrown by the twitchy editing?

The story was very drab.

Hilary Duff was really hot.

The music was pretty good. (I like the kind of music Hilary Duff does)

Aside from a bad storyline, this was ok.

and did anyone else want to smack the dad for being a dumbass?

I dunno about smacking the dad but I did smack myself for caring enough to order a replacement for a defective reel...

*spoiler as if anyone cares*
I was particularly annoyed with the first 40 minutes. Especially following the car wreck.
It only entertained little girls and a few guys with the emotional maturity of a box of mini-wheats.
