Today 5:05PM, Bijou Art Cinemas in Eugene, House #2. Glorious optical mono sound (decent) with a nice big "POP" at every splice. Attendance about a dozen or so. There was a HORRIBLE xenon flicker for the first 15 minutes or so. It was so bad it was giving me a headache. But it finally settled down. Very pristine print.

An acquaintance recommended this as being in the same league as "Rudy". Being in the mood for something like that, and today being the film's last day here, I went. Very good little film, nice performances all around, interesting characters. You just can't help rooting for the kid.

3.5 out of 5 from me.
