Craig Brewer's last movie was HUSTLE & FLOW, a film which has a crazy premise but somehow manages to be really heartwarming. BLACK SNAKE MOAN is that times 100. It's really well put together, and Samuel L. (Focus was soft, but the movie made up for it.) There's a part involving lightning and Samuel L. And I loved every minute of it! It did not try to be anything more than it is, which is why it succeeds when so many films fail today.
