FUCKING HILARIOUS!!!!

Ok now that thats out of the way. This is directed by the incomparable Frank Oz. I suppose you can say its a British Comedy because it takes place in a British home and has British actors. BUT!!!! It could take place in teepee in the middle of South Dakota and it would still be FUCKING HILARIOUS!!!!

The cast is a group of nobodies to the American audience, except for the always great Peter Dinklage. But that dosn't matter they are all great in their roles. Bringing this dysfunctional family together at the funeral of their father.

I watched this with a full house. I would say around 420 people, with some critics from the local papers. Through out the film the laughter was so loud that you could not hear anything coming out of the speakers. But this wasn't a problem because Oz knows that the audience will be laughing. He pauses the movie to let the audience enjoy the joke and laugh.

This has been long winded, I can't say anything more then GO SEE THIS FILM! You will laugh for an hour and half and walk out still laughing.

4.5/5

I Couldn't agree more [thumbsup] . I watched this film tonight and its one wickedly funny dark comedy. Great performances all-round with those by Peter Dinklage and Alan Tudyk bordering on just this side of brilliant.

We sub run this one digitally, I must say it is one of the best quality digital files i have run to date.

And as for the movie , well a little slow to start with , but I guess the gentry needed to be broken in the correct way before all the skeletons came thumbing out of the cupboards.

Yes it turned out to be very entertaining , predicable but also retaining the element of surprise.

3.5 out of 5 from me on this one.

and from a business point of view it is getting large numbers of bums on seats

Digital I assume because there's not many giving up their prints? We're into week 9 and no sign of ending it in 2007. We're also coming up on 300 passes of the print and still looks mint with 3's and 4's (began on 4's and 5's) on the error rate thanks to the wonderful product we like to call Film Guard.

At another location I do occasional shifts...the digital track was history after week three and it's now (and even then to a lesser extent) a mass of black dirt spots...yuk. Unsurprisingly, they use paper weights...sorry, I meant to type PTR rollers. Damn laptop keys.
