Author Topic: Burlesque Tom Petrov Five Guys Lover Posts: 1121 From: El Paso, TX Registered: Jan 2003 posted 12-07-2010 12:24 AM                    ***1/2 I liked this movie so much more than I thought. I went to visit a friend tonight at the theatre and figured I would watch this as I had seen everything. Let me just say, Christina Aguilera should stop her music career and move to acting. I enjoyed her role, also I have never noticed it before but the girl is stunning in good looking she is. She worked her role well against Cher who is alway great IMO. Cher can still sing as well. If you want to see some total bitch fights, this is the movie. When Cher smashes the window on the car, "wow" total bitches. Also, what is up with Stanley Tucci, the guy plays the same role in every movie. There were some issues in the movie and there was a good 25 min show down where I thought "where is this going?" It all came together in a satisfactory way at the end. The love story conclusion was a little odd, but I accept it. The back story and beginnning about Aguilera could of been a little more explained. Its just starts off in the first minute as she is leaving a small town. Kristen Bell's role was a little wasted, she just sits there like a bitch for the whole movie. Aguilera in Wonderland..Well done Christina, you have made me a fan. Picture was good, 35mm film., Sound, Dolby Surround (I could really hear the surrounds in this theatre) Encore Cinemas Cinema #4, second row from the screen, I was the only one in there.
