BATTLESHP, the new film from Universal has been receiving very bad reviews from most critics and from many others who had seen it. Because of these negative feelings about the movie, I was planning not to see it but changed my mind and saw it yesterday afternoon at Regal's Pearl Highland because the film was shot mostly here on Oahu and I had nothing to do at the time. I am very glad I saw it because it turned out to be a very entertaining movie. It was not a epic picture but it did what it was suppose to do - entertain.

I saw BATTLESHIP in house 12, my favorite at the Pearl Highland and the digital presentation was flawless. Some had complained that the movie had a extremely loud sound mix but I thought it was fine.

First divide the movie into three equal parts...

First Third: Terrible, slow, boring
Second Third: Mildly interesting
Final Third: Actually fairly entertaining

This must have just been a paycheck movie for Liam Neeson. I think he and Samuel L Jackson are having a contest as to who can be in the most movies.
