Author Topic: The Magnificent Seven (2016) Justin Hamaker Film God Posts: 2253 From: Lakeport, CA USA Registered: Jan 2004 posted 09-24-2016 01:14 AM                        I have not seen the 1960 version of The Magnificent Seven, nor Seven Samurai, so I was able to watch this new film without any expectations. While I thought Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt were good in their respective roles, I found the other members of the "Seven" to almost be obligatory role players. The actions sequences were well done, but I felt the end sequence went on too long heading toward an obvious conclusion. I also felt the dialog bordered on cheesy at times, especially Vincent D'Onofrio's character. Overall I found it to be mildly entertaining, but forgettable.
