I have generally always like Kodak color films too. In my day of B&W still photography though I always preferred Ilford. HP5 was much better than Tri-X in terms of what one could do with it and how graining it looked. Likewise FP-4 looked better to me than Plus-X. I used to keep two 100' rolls in the fridge, one of FP-4 the other of HP-5...load up cartridges of what ever I needed for the shoot and they never let me down. In the Dark room Ilford always worked better for me as well...I liked the Ilford papers. Normally, I used Kodak chemicals though. This was all before the T-grain stuff though. For slide/home-movie film, I much prefer Kodachrome to ANYTHING by a wide margin. I never liked Ektachrome all that much. Though Ektachrome was process E-6 and afforded me the ability to process it at home. The various Kodacolors, Varicolor and the other color negative films always did well by me too. Kodak color papers were just fine in the dark room. For slide to print I used Cibachrome (again Ilford) ------------------ "Old projectionists never die, they just changeover!"

Thank you. Kodak offers a wide variety of products to please different tastes and the desire for different "looks". Just look at the number of different film products Kodak offers the movie industry (many more than any other manufacturer): http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/products/films.shtml http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/products/postProducts.shtml Not to mention the numerous tools designed to make film easier to use, and to improve quality: http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/screencheck/ http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/products/digital.shtml http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/support/h61/ http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/support/processing/index.shtml http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/support/imagecare/index.shtml And of course, digital products and services: http://www.kodak.com/US/en/motion/digital/system.shtml http://www.cinesite.com/ I know the other product areas in Kodak have the same dedication to customer satisfaction, service, and quality. ------------------ John P.
