Just wondering if my fellow exhibitors are finding the box office result on the Hulk to be poor?

I've spoken to a few people and they say that their business has been very poor on this [Frown]

Yes this film isnt doing too good.
On the first preview we only had 50 in , but had 100 in for Whale Rider, the latest New Zeland hit.
Hulk might pick up this week as the schools are on summer hols now.

Put an American film up against a New Zealand film and this will happen every time ! Sort of like comparing Michael Jackson to Kiri Te Kanawha !

I saw the not-so-jolly green giant on the Saturday late show in York and the audience was only around 15-20. It got really bad reviews in almost everything. I saw Dark Water in the same slot last week and it was easily three times as full.

It's a bit like Godzilla - perfectly harmless crap for the summer hols but hardly a masterpiece.

We are currently running it in one theatre only, very poor attendance. Double feature with 2 Fast2 Furious.
Too long at 8 spools, also not enough continuous action and noise that children want now.

Awful business with Hulk. Bruce Almighty is doing better, and it's in a theatre half the size!

Expecting T3 to do some good business on Thursday though...

Yeah poor attendance. Have you all seen the movie? It's bad. Bad as in not good at all. Word of mouth really killed it.

Bad film. Very bad. Worth staying until 2am to run a staff screening [Smile]
