FRIDAY THE 13th opened in Honolulu like it did nation wide today and the Dole Cannery 18th advertised it in their theatre schedule as "GIANT SCREEN:FRIDAY THE 13th" in one of their two auditoriums playing the movie. The Dole Cannery is slated to get IMAX Digital any time now and I guess the system is already in place. Now that the auditorium is playing the film on the new IMAX screen, how is the movie proJected? Is it digital or are they projecting the movie with a standard 35mm projector? If it is digital projection, how does a movie shot on film look on the larger screen?
