New horror movie with is possibly the nastiest concept I've ever seen for a movie. Was recently released in a few theaters in the US. Is anyone on here showing it, and if so, what kind of audience reaction are you getting?

In 'The Human Centipede,' two beautiful American tourists take what starts as an amazing road trip through Europe in a cute car. These girls stay in nice hotels and meet cute European boys until one night ... when their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. After a disturbing encounter with an old man, the ladies decide to get out of the car to search for help.
At this point, as I was watching the movie, I remembered something from when I was 15. In high school, a former bodyguard gave us a speech about safety and lessening your chances of being abducted. He told us in no uncertain terms that you're more of a target if you're sitting in a broken-down car than if you're roaming the woods. "There aren't any madmen who just happened to be out there waiting for someone to get a flat tire," he said.
In this case, he was wrong -- they should have stayed in the car. The madman in 'The Human Centipede' is Dr. Heiter, a famed surgeon who used to work separating Siamese twins, who now likes to combine people together. And when Lindsay and Jenny ask for help, they get trapped under truly horrific circumstances.
Thus begins what is the most emotionally damaging movie I've seen in a long time. But, if you're a horror fan, you should still brave the theater for it. You won't be disappointed. (Warning: Spoilers below. But I'm so not responsible for any therapy charges you may incur.)
Let's get straight to it. Lindsay and Jenny end up as two-thirds of a "human centipede" sewn together anus to mouth with a Japanese man whom Heiter hunts for with his tranquilizer gun.
Who comes up with these ludicrous ideas? Tom Sixx, the writer and director of the film, explained to Moviefone how he originally imagined it. "It all started as a sick joke I made with friends," he told us. "We were watching television, and we saw a child molester, and I always said they should fix his mouth to the end of a very fat truck driver, and it would be a good punishment. Everybody said, 'Oh, that's so horrible,' and of course, the idea is very horrible, but I thought it might be a great idea for a horror film, and that's how it all started. "
Now you may wonder, why I would want to put myself through this ordeal, knowing full well what was in store for me? I had seen the trailer and images -- which were enough to ruin your life, as one of my friends put it -- but I was intrigued. I may come to regret the decision to see this film, because days later, I still want to bleach my eyes out. But, as a horror lover, I can truly appreciate the vision.

The beautiful part about this film (and yes, I did say "beautiful" in reference to 'Centipede') is that Sixx manages to create such suspense and truly disturbing psychological responses with very little gore. More often than not, you're likely to be staring down a deserted hallway rather than at blood and guts. (Of course, this flick is not without its disgusting moments. So don't worry, torture-porn lovers.)
Sixx told us that that was his intention. "My goal [was] to really let show the ache and human suffering of the girls much more than the gory stuff, how do they handle the situation. You can really, as the audience, feel them undergo this horrible thing."
One may wonder about the director and his own life, but he assured us that he had a "happy childhood." However, a nightmare did contribute to his overall idea. "In school, you learn a lot about World War II, and you heard a lot about Nazi doctors from Germany, so that was always my worst nightmare, to be examined or operated on by those Nazi doctors in that era. That's a nightmare I always had, and that I put in this film."
He seems fine with his creation, and he wants people to be scared. Sixx shouldn't worry -- because you will be.
Now, like any good movie geek, after the film, you're freaked out. And you want to know how others are feeling. So you troll message boards and look up trivia anywhere you can find it ... and what you do come across disturbs you more than the film itself. And that's the fact that Sixx already has a sequel in pre-production.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, there will be more 'Centipede.' And by more, I mean 12 people with their digestive tracts sewn together. Gag me.
"It's a little bit secret, of course," Sixx explained, "because I really wanted to create something original again, and the big challenge has to do with that, because I see a lot of sequels of films that are disappointing. I really try to create something original, and it's going to be about a human centipede that's 12 people long, but the story is about something the audience won't expect."
No, we definitely won't expect what's coming next.
