Wow! And I thought the early color work by
Lumiere was beautiful! I downloaded many of
these remarkable photographs to print enlargements.
Who knows what other great rediscoveries await us?
Bless our Library of Congress for purchasing these
and other archival works and making them available
to all!
Maybe someone will dig up a viewing/projection rig and
erotic images the Queen of Sheba employed to entice King Solomon
into fathering an heir to her domain?

Excellent exhibit! I assume those glass plate negatives had been pan (panchromatic) sensitized to capture color images using the additive filters. Best early color I've seen.
