Hi Folks,

I know Brad has a separate forum for jokes but I just wondered if anyone has any film or cinema related gags?

Or any brief, really funny, true life movie theatre experiences they would like to share.

Here is a not-very-good example.

"I was enjoying the movie when the guy sitting next to me got up and trod all over my feet as he made his way out of the row. I thought, 'Hope he apologises when he comes back', and sure enough, on his return he said "Did I step on your feet on the way out?. I replied, "you certainly did". "Oh good", he said. "I know I'm in the right seat then".

I'm sure you can easily beat that.

I'll check the joke section if required Brad.

"It's always better on the Big Screen".

Frank.

I posted a thread about in house practical jokes amongst the staff, but I cannot think of any jokes about theatres except of what I had seen in movies. One of my favorite things I have seen was a segment from the the video tape "Tiny Toons, How I spent My Vacation". It was a very funny segment about Fowl Mouth going to the movies. The was gag about THX in it as well. THUD: the audience is now deaf. Funny stuff.

Some of my all-time favorite on-screen jokes comes from the film Silent Movie by Mel Brooks:

One is the shot of the outside of a theatre during a "Sneak Preview" where there is a line of people wearing trench coats and fedoras, pulled down over their faces, quickly running up, buying a ticket and dodging into the theatre.

Another is the scene where the film gets spilled all over the ground and Marty Feldman gets turned into a human film reel. No matter how many times I see the film, I just can't help giggling when the booth door opens and Marty comes spinning out into the lobby.
