Rach's husband, Anthony, was badly burned in a cooking oil fire. He suffers 1st and 2nd degree burns to his face, arms, and chest. Today, he went to a burn center for treatment.

Please join me in prayer for him, and wish him a speedy recovery. May God Bless this fine gentleman and his wonderful wife, Rachel.

That is very sad to hear of such an accident. I had 2nd degree burns back in high school and it is not a pleasant experience, but the good news is that medication is available and Anthony should hopefully be able to recover without any marks over the next few months.

I know what you're going through Anthony and I feel your pain. Hang in there. You've got a lot of friends here thinking of you.

I too know somewhat of the pain. I had a handle on a deep fryer kettle break off while I was pouring the oil through a cone filter.
Fried my leg pretty good. I did recover 100%, but my leg was rather "hairless" for about 3 years.

My family and I will keep both Anthony & Rachel in our prayers.

Anthony was at Mass general but has been released.

I dont want to bring this off topic but i am...

When my theatre first opened a girl dropped a chicken tender in the friolater and went in after it with her hand!!! some people dont realize the danger of 400 degree oil, im always telling my employees to stop throwing ice cubes in the friolaters

Sean, if your employees are doing that, they don't have the slightest idea about what they are fooling around with.

Perhaps a little training video would be in order so they can see what can develope out of innocent goofing around.

If they still think it is neat to toss ice cubes in hot oil, then two options could be available.
1. Tell them "No more of that nonsense".
or
2. Show them where the door is, and tell them not to let that door hit them in the butt when leaving.

Paul
