As I stated a while ago, if any person slips through the registration process with fake information, I will take swift action to correct it. I received two requests from active registered members on a new member and have followed up on it.

The person claiming to be David Schmolz has been banned from posting on this forum. This person registered with fake identification and claims to be working as the "general manager" of a Regal theater of which he is not even employed. His contact phone number does not exist for me to call him privately on this to get it resolved...so out into the open this comes. This crap is not worth my time attempting email contact.

David, if you wish to continue participating, you need to email me and be prepared to provide significant positive id for yourself. I will be requiring a personal check made out to "Film-Tech" in the amount of one dollar, which is about the best way to prove you are who you say you are. In addition, I will want two pictures of you. The first picture will be your forum picture of whatever pose you desire. The second picture will not be posted publicly, but will be you in the same clothing with a bizarre pose of which I will dictate to verify you are who you really claim to be.

That should do it. This nonsense is stopping right now. My apologies to the rest of the forum members regarding this, but as everyone knows it is virtually impossible for me to do full background checks on everyone who registers.

After a bit of easy sleuthing, it seems that his real name is David Stahl and he is from Arizona, not Seattle.

That's the same name as the former president of CFS, I believe.

David Stahl was the name of the Chicago City Hall offical who denyed Abbie Hoffman a permit to demonstrate in the park during the 1969 Democratic National Convention.

He just won't stop causing trouble!

By impersonating a Regal manager, this kid may have opened himself up to some juicy legal troubles. (Admittedly slim, but there nonetheless.) In any event, he showed himself to be an ass.

Kudos to Brad for snapping his chain short.

Seems like we have been troll-free for a while, now. It was probably about time somebody popped up. On this board, at least, even when we do get a trouble maker they usually only rise to PITA/comic relief levels.

I don't let people like that get under my skin.
