Cinematographer Days (January 11-13)
At The Palm Springs International Film Festival
Free To The First 100 Film School Students Who Register!!!The Palm Springs International Film Festival has agreed to provide free registration for 100 film students to Cinematographer Days, Friday January 11 through Sunday, January 13 as a courtesy to keynote speaker Laszlo Kovacs, ASC. Laszlo Kovacs is one of the defining film artists of our times. His credits range from such classics as Easy Rider and Five Easy Pieces to the contemporary hits My Best Friend's Wedding and Miss Congeniality.
Laszlo will receive the American Society of Cinematographers coveted Lifetime Achievement Award in February, 2002.
Kodak, through its Worldwide Student Program, and ASC will host a student reception with Laszlo and other cutting edge filmmakers on January 11 followed by an invitational screening of Easy Rider. Laszlo will deliver the keynote address on January 12 followed by two days of panel discussions, technology demonstrations and screenings. And YOU are invited to attend FREE (if you are a film school student with valid current ID).
