I bet Freddy Got Fingered will win in every category it is eligible for.

What is Pearl Harbor a remake of?
I know there are other movies made about Pearl Harbor, and this one may be a rip-off of some of these, but I don't really think of it as a remake and it's obviously not a sequel.

Also, I didn't know Sweet November was a remake of something.
A foreign film perhaps?

I didn't have the pleasure of seeing Freddy Got Fingered. 3000 Miles To Graceland and Domestic Disturbance were absolutely two of the worst movies of 2001 though.

Pearl Harbor was actually a remake of 3 things.

#1 The actual Pearl Harbor invasion of WWII

#2 Titanic

#3 Every Michael Bay / Jerry Bruckheimer movie ever made.

I second that Glitter, Driven and Pearl Harbor are the worst films of 2001.

3000 miles to graceland wasn't all that bad....it had it's moments.

as for Freddy Got Fingered, some of it was funny, others just down right disgusting.

It's true, Brad. Near the beginning of Pearl Harbor, I thought I was going to hear Alec Baldwin say, "I can't believe I'm going to do this after the stunt you pulled, but I'm going to send you to Top -- I mean, to England."

James R: Sweet November is a remake of a 1968 movie of the same name starring Anthony Newley and Sandy Dennis.

Unlike the Oscar nominations, the Razzies can't be bought . . .

I curious about the big love fest over Moulin Rouge. I didn't see it so I don't have an informed opinion but I can say that there wasn't another movie this past year that had more customers walking out of it than Moulin Rouge.

Michael, never confuse the public and intelligence. People will watch "America's Funniest Videos" and flip the channel on "Nova."

Most people expect movies to be a predictable roller coaster ride of plot and emotion. MR is more than that and in some ways is an "insiders" movie, where you have to catch stuff as it whizzes by at 90 mph.

John, Peter's dog looks to nice to bite his bum. The dog has his little doggie bags packed and is just waiting for the next open door. He emailed me and said he was going to visit Bob Maar. I couldn't quite understand the next part of the email. It was something about martinis and toilet bowl water...

I honestly though 3,000 Miles to Graceland was an alright movie. Granted not Oscar material, but it wasn't THAT bad. I would have put Josie and the Pussycats on that list way before Graceland.

And honestly, I've followed these in the past and I think its more about personal dislike of certain actors and actresses-whether they deserve it or not-than it is about good or bad movies. I mean really, Penelope Cruz isn't THAT bad of an actress to get nominated for worst actress.

I don't know why critics etc. were so surprised that Pearl Harbor was crap. They should have KNOWN what was going to happen, given who was involved. My booker told me 3 months before it opened: "It's going to have lousy dialogue, poor direction and the story will probably be stupid, but that's what you get with Bruckheimer and Bay." I was hoping he was wrong and that B&B would do a classy movie like "Titanic," but he was right all the way! (Not that Titanic was perfect either.)
