Author Topic: xetron rebuilt "walt" units Tom Fermanian Expert Film Handler Posts: 101 From: Sainte Adele, Quebec, Canada Registered: Dec 2001 posted 03-29-2002 01:06 PM                     Hey gang, We had taken over a little twin situated in a resort town , it had 'motorless' xetron walt film transport units, these are similar in style to eprad double muts, but wall mounted, with the help of Bob Maar and Mike Suttkus, we finaly got the beasts rolling again, new localy bought motors, some machine shop work and voilà! there they go, only drawback 15-18 min rewind times depending on lenght of features, Easy to move features from one screen to another, (in this especialy small & crowded booth), This system realy helps us in moving films from other sites using 6000ft reels, Hey, platters great, reel to reel systems have their advantages too!!(one thing no static cling) Thanks to the boys & film tech.
