I'm trying to find out the name of a movie for someone. She has no idea who the actors are, who directed it, or any other factors that would make it easier to identify. Just the basic plot. The story centers around a family of three. A teenage girl and her parents, both of whom are deaf. The daughter, who acts as their translator to others who can't sign, becomes involved with a young man. Because most of her time is going to her new beau, the parents have to cope with the inevitable fact they are going to have to let go of their daughter some day, but more importantly, must learn to communcate to others without her.I've never seen the film, and I honestly don't know if it was released in theatres or if it's actually a made for T.V. movie, but it was released sometime in the 90's. Possibly mid to late. What's neat about this film is that a majority of the dialogue in it is sign with subtitles. I'm at a loss. So I'm turning to my fellow film buffs. Any help you could give I would really appreciate. Thanks. ------------------ The man with the magic hands.
